Dragonfly Thinking wins National AI Sprint

We are delighted to announce that Dragonfly Thinking won the inaugural AI Sprint for Australia, winning a variety of prizes including $300,000 in R&D funding.

The AI Sprint was a collaboration between the National AI Centre (coordinated by Australia’s national science agency CSIRO), Australia's largest innovation community Stone & Chalk, and Google Cloud. The challenge was to find innovative AI solutions that would benefit Australia, both economically and socially.

More than 250 companies started the AI Sprint and the final was extremely competitive. We want to congratulate the other top 10 finalists, including Kindship which came 2nd, Empathetic AI which came 3rd, and InsightWise.ai which won the People’s Choice award. Prizes came from a host of generous donors including Main Sequence and Google.

We are excited by the interest in Dragonfly Thinking’s decision-support tools. The R&D funding comes at an opportune time as we ramp up our product and tech development for pilot projects with federal and state governments in the second of this year. We are very grateful for the opportunities and mentoring this AI sprint has provided us.
